Friday Favorites — I Swear It’s Not ALL Pumpkin Things

Friday already?! Have the weeks not been flying by? Before we know it, it’s going to be Thanksgiving, then Christmas… ahhh, time flies!

I’m actually super excited about the coming weeks. In November and December, there are FIVE weeks in a row that I’ll be spending time with friends and family from home. That’s what the holidays are all about, right?!

Moving across the country has been a transition so I can't wait for the holidays!

Moving hundreds of miles from home has been a transition, so I can’t wait to be spoiled by seeing some of my favorite people.

But for now, let’s take it one day at a time. Today, I’m linking up with Katie @ Running4Cupcakes and Heather @ Housewife Glamour to bring you some of my Friday Favorites.

Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown

Total Halloween classics. I can’t let an October go by without watching these, and I know many of you feel the same way. I watched Halloweentown 1 and 2 on Saturday, and went to see Hocus Pocus in theaters this week. Any excuse to be festive!

Hocus Pocus is a Halloween tradition I can never miss!

Benefit Gimme Brow

I’m not embarrassed to say I use eyebrow makeup! This is hands-down my favorite cosmetic right now. It fills in the sparse areas of my brows that I decided to tweeze and tweeze and tweeze as a teenager. Why didn’t someone tell me thick, luscious brows would be in style?!

Stuffed Squash

For breakfast, lunch and dinner. <3333 Inspired by Monique (Ambitious Kitchen) who is a pure genius, I stuffed this roasted acorn squash with plain Greek yogurt, cinnamon, honey, banana and walnuts for breakfast. Strange but good!

Great Customer Service

As someone who has worked in customer service jobs before, I try to always be mindful of how I interact with waiters, clerks, etc. I always notice someone who goes above and beyond to help others! Most recently, I received some AWESOME customer support from a Discovery Specialist at Birchbox, and the Customer Relations team at Trader Joe’s as well. It’s the little things!

I totally appreciate great customer service. It's the little things!

… And, yes, I emailed Trader Joe’s because I was really concerned that this peanut butter was discontinued. It’s not. =)

Pumpkin Carving

Speaking of fall festivities, I’m also required to carve a pumpkin every year. I’ve actually done two this year. Shout out to Casey who had a bunch of friends and coworkers over this week for a little pumpkin-themed party. So fun and festive!

Coworkers' pumpkins! Impressive, right?

Have a fun-filled fall weekend, everyone! Go get that Halloween costume ready. : )

Your Turn-

  • Have you carved a pumpkin this year?
  • Which is better – Halloweentown or Hocus Pocus?
  • One thing you’re loving this week?

  1. Love your pumpkins. I’m trying so hard to convince my boyfriend we have to do one next week. It’s like, not fall nor Halloween if I don’t scoop out pumpkin guts. 😦

    Have a great weekend!

    • Aw, thank you! 🙂 Haha – as far as pumpkin carving, I try to keep it classic 🙂 Totally think about trying baked squash for breakfast .. I might stuff it with oats next 🙂 🙂 You too, Elsie!
