The Craziness of Moving

Good morning! After a brief hiatus with limited WiFi and even more limited down time, I’m popping in for a moving update!

On Friday at 10 AM, I was officially out of my coworker’s place and no longer “homeless!” I was a little nervous going to pick up the keys to my new place, since my brother and I had never actually seen our unit before signing the lease. I know that’s a big no-no, but there were no show units available. Eek!

Luckily the apartment is in great condition! We got a great deal on the rent and are very happy with the location (0.9 miles from my work!), so we knew we might have to make a few compromises on things like cabinet space, etc. But I certainly can’t complain! It’s perfect for two “roommates.” 🙂

I need some throw pillows! :)

Love my comforter — just need some throw pillows!

I’ve been running around like a crazy person shopping, unpacking, rearranging, hauling, and doing everything associated with moving. The place is really coming together!

One of my favorite things about the new place…

One of my first purchases at Target (been there FOUR times this weekend!) was 2 outdoor patio chairs. I’m excited to have an outdoor space again!

I’m about 85% unpacked and “settled” which is a great feeling! Of course it will take some time to get everything the way I like it (I have to keep reminding myself of this!), so I’m trying to enjoy the process in the meantime.

On today’s agenda – Body Pump Break, another Target trip (don’t judge me), Trader Joe’s (stay tuned for grocery haul), and attempting to assemble 2 kitchen stools. Wish me luck!

Have a great day, everyone!
