Weekend Treats

Hello and happy weekend! I hope it’s been a fun, relaxing, and productive weekend (my favorite kind ;)) for you all.

I’m in between leases right now, and my coworker was nice enough to let my brother and I crash at her place for the entire week. It’s incredibly sweet of her to do that! But my bro and I are both looking forward to getting settled into our place next weekend. 🙂 We decided to live together even though it wasn’t our original plans… as I’ve said before, we lived together for 18 years, we can do 1 more, right?

Yesterday was a super busy day. After sleeping in a little, I went to a 10 AM Body Pump class at my gym. Has anyone done the newest release, Body Pump 89? I am seriously obsessed with the music, especially the warmup song by Avicii. I can’t stop listening to it!

Afterwards, I headed to the mall and knew I needed a post-workout snack. Quest Bar time!

Meals have been a little bit all over the place during this week of “homelessness” … I probably won’t do much cooking here, so I’m all about healthy, convenient, and low maintenance. Just trying to stay out of my coworker’s way as much as possible!

I made some other random stops after the mall, including Ulta, Kohls, and Trader Joe’s. I picked up a few groceries for the week, but it was torture being at TJs and not being able to do a huge grocery haul. I’m definitely going back next weekend! 🙂

Before long, my stomach started rumbling again. I treated myself to some Chipotle!

IMG_2297I love Chipotle, but I rarely ever go there. It’s actually a really nice treat when I only go there once every few months. Makes it totally worth it! I got the burrito bowl with black beans, chicken, lettuce, pico de gallo, medium salsa, a little corn, fajita veggies, cilantro, lime juice, and brown rice on the side. Seriously, it’s what dreams are made of.

It was a long, happy day full of shopping – can’t beat that!

This morning started off with another free workout on the roof of Whole Foods headquarters. It was a new August workout series with Rogue Wolf strength and conditioning, which is based here in Austin. The workout was somewhat of a crossfit WOD/boot camp hybrid, incorporating plenty of AMRAPs, burpees, squats, and more. I was a sweaty mess by the end!

A smoothie, duh! I chose to create my own. I hate to brag, buuuuuut…. it was AMAZING. It had sweet potato, banana, almond milk, almond butter, cinnamon, and finishing salt. Simply amazing. I want to drink this every day of my life. 🙂 🙂

After another hot, busy day of running around (and more almond butter and bananas for “dinner,” oops!), my brother and I wrapped things up the best way I know how. Fro-yo!

It was a good, busy weekend. I try to never wish time away, but I’m ready to start chipping away at this week so I can move into my new apartment, start decorating, and get settled back into a regular routine.
